The Black Hills Mining Museum and the Homestake Visitor Center are just two of the numerous attractions that must be visited when traveling to Lead. Hiking, mountain and road biking, trail running, hunting and fishing, automobile touring and sightseeing are among the summer activities in and around Lead. In the winter, downhill and cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing and snowmobiling are the outdoor activities of choice.
